    The book serves scientists and professionals working in the planetary remote sensing and mapping areas, as well as for planetary probe designers, engineers, and planetary geologists and geophysicists.   I've got this book. I know/knew the authors. it's 25 years old and entirely in black & white. some aspects are nice -- history of planetary cartography, planetary nomenclature -- but other aspects are very, very dated. this book predates digital composites, ortho-rectification, reprojection from one format to another, merging images/altimetry.

    More detailed information about the digital archive process can be read in abstracts presented at the 30th and 31st Lunar and Planetary Science Conferences.
